Welcome to the USS Tamalpais AO-96 Web Page. This site is dedicated to the 429 0fficers and crew that sailed aboard it during World War II. While our time of service was brief, this ship and it's crew played an important role in delivering not only oil and supplies, but more important, fresh drinkable water to many smaller craft and hospital ships that operated in these foreign waters.
